Dana Hall is a great school academically, but the sense of community on campus is what distinguishes it. The traditions create a sisterhood and a very supportive environment.

Dana Hall is a really good fit for my daughter. She is going into grade 8 and has been at Dana for 2 years. I generally try to judge my kids' experiences on their level of happiness and my daughter is very happy at Dana Hall. She is allowed to be herself and takes pride in attending her school. The facilities are excellent and her advisors have struck a nice balance of accountability and support. She is doing well in her classes and seems to be consistently challenged by the material. She seems comfortable speaking in group settings which I believe to be critical at this stage of her academic career. My daughter can get a little loose with punctuality and attentiveness which fits with her personality but I would like to see more consequences for slipping on these items. She is getting a phone this year and I would LOVE if phones were not allowed in school during classtime hours. I would appreciate a more vibrant athletic experience like she would get at a public school.

Both of my daughters attend Dana Hall. They are very different kids yet the school has been a positive experience for both of them (for different reasons). In my opinion, the best thing about DH is the community. Yes, the academics are rigorous and the facilities are outstanding, but what makes the school special is that the teachers and administrators truly care about the kids in their charge.

About to enter high school there, so we will see soon how it compares to the MS. Leadership at both levels is lacking, and especially direction, identity. We were greatly disturbed that there wasn’t more class discussion about current events, politics, global warming, international relations, as if...

Our experience is one of regret. Wish we never sent our daughter there. Lack of culture of kindness and respect, which results in unhealthy, intolerant, unfriendly, and clicky culture. Lack of leadership from the staff and the way the school is run. DH is always behind the curve and trying to keep i...

Just attended the Dana Days revisit day and I can hardly wait to go to this high school. I especially liked the teachers and the many options I will have there. I'm not really athletic and can do rock climbing and the fitness classes. Everyone was welcoming and kind.

This school focuses mainly on sports. Of course, academics are a priority, but their music school fell short of my expectations. I decided to attend Dana because of their music school. They lead me to believe that I would have good opportunities there to pursue music. Unlike any other programs there...
