GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I made many good memories and made many friends at West Blocton High school. I like how close everyone is, especially with the band. It feels like a 2nd family from home. I also like the support of the students and teachers when it comes to football, cheer, and band. What I would like to see change is a more diverse variety of classes, such as choir, art, and a foreign language class that is in person.

Going to high school in a small town was always an adventure. We had good home town traditions but when it came to drama it spread like a wildfire. While we have great memories and were a family, we had tough times and you learn who people really are.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at WBHS, I made new friends, and learned many life lessons. I was also able to achieve many things in these 4 years of my life.
