Oak Grove Neighborhood

Along the southern border of the Oak Grove community is Edge Christian Academy, formerly known as Covenant Christian Academy. The school opened in 1987 and now offers preschool, kindergarten and first through ninth grades. As part of its mission, it partners with parents to help children develop a meaningful connection to their faith. The school is accredited by the South Carolina Independent School Association. In addition to biblical studies, the school offers a life skills class teaching students carpentry, small appliance repair and sewing. Keeping kids active is important; students at Edge Christian Academy can join basketball, football and soccer teams. Run Hard is a cross-country running program for students in grades two through seven, and students can take dance classes starting in third grade. Unique extracurricular activities like bowling, culinary classes, a school newspaper and a yearbook club are offered, and students can help with costumes and props during a weekly drama program. With so many options, Edge Christian Academy will keep kids busy and engaged with what they’re learning.

CCA certainly prides themself in high education. National test scores are always outstanding and the administration team is very effective in the leadership they offer.
