I am currently a Sophmore at Dowling Catholic high school and I would say the best parts of the school are the academics and athletes (with a emphasis on Football). I also think some of the arts are really good like the choir and the performances put on by the theater department. I am in the DC Singers which is the audition choir. We have the great opportunities to sing with other college choirs like the Iowa State Singers and preform college level pieces. One of the negatives of Dowling is the culture of some of the students. They have their own friend groups and they gossip about each other often. They say bad things about eachother mostly stemming from social media conversations. I don't have a toxic friend group because I don't have social media and I didn't come from one of the feeder Catholic schools in the area.

Dowling was the best high school I could have gone to, to get me ready for college. The classes make you think and work hard furthering your education to a degree you can't get at most public schools. Teachers are extremely friend and truly want you to succeed and help you. I highly recommend enrollment here if you plan to go to college because that is exactly what this school helps you do.

Classes and teachers are fantastic as well as the education provided. Have a great band program that's been a big part of my time here.
