GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Stilwell the staff are for the most part varely good but, in certain situations, they take sides like if they had their child do something vile to another student so no real consequences for their actions. and the food can only be described as *slop* the lunch ladies are wonderful people and can probably make great meals other than frozen food. It's just sad how much gets thrown out it has gotten so bad that I don't even eat any lunch ever because lunch=school lunch the facilities are disturbing. but the classes are actually good. I do learn stuff they put a lot into sports music and other outside-of-school activities which is nice and they do put safety first always.

We moved into the district in June of 2013 with our four children. Two of our children (straight A students who have scored in the 90% on the Iowa Assessment) attend Stilwell Junior High School. Let me preface my review by telling you that due to several job transfers this is our 5th school district...

Although I have dealt with this school for four years now.I was quite pleased for awhile..I now see and believe that the staff is driven by the numbers..no concern for the individual student. They will say one thing and do another. Rather then give consideration to help the student I feel there acti...

Mr. Miller is a brilliant principal and really takes the time to know the kids and families - even takin...

This school is one of the best in the district. From administration to faculty, to enrichment programs and additional education resources for students, Stilwell puts kids first. The approach seems to be more about developing the foundational learning so that the students advance in a high school set...
