Haynes Charter for Enriched Studies (Haynes CES) is a small school located in the suburban community of West Hills for students from preschool to fifth grade. Parents, teachers and school staff work together toward enriching the lives of students through the highest quality education. With a rigorous curriculum, classroom technology, music and arts programs and an expanded STEAM program with neighboring schools, Haynes CES creates an environment that meets the needs of all its students including high achieving pupils, English Learners and students with disabilities.
Haynes CES and the surrounding community have created and sustained many environmental, performing arts, physical education, health and science programs. Their Green Team Beautification Committee, for example, has brought environmental awareness and educational programs to the community.
In addition to the core curriculum, Haynes CES has programs to fit student needs across the spectrum such as the Gifted and Talented Program, School for Advanced Studies (GATE/SAS), the Preschool for All Learners (PALs) and the Resource Specialist Program (RSP). Each provides academic assistance and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to eligible students.
Haynes CES provides a nurturing environment where all students are challenged to reach their maximum potential through a solid foundation of skills, knowledge and values. Students develop into learners who are technologically, academically and socially prepared to enter a global society.

This is our first year at Haynes and we absolutely love and recommend it. The teachers are fantastic, the PTO does such a terrific job and plans many great events for the families, the staff are friendly. What I love about the school that it’s small and everyone knows all the students.
