West Potomac High School has been a place for me to grow in ways that I never thought were possible. I previously attended a private high school nearby and was unable to focus or find the support that I needed, and West Potomac far exceeded my hopes. I found kind and supportive teachers, as well as peers who respected my identity. This allows me to enjoy going to school almost every day and I genuinely feel so lucky to attend this school.

This school does an excellent job in having fabulous teachers and amazing course offerings. The school is easy to navigate around, and the administrator team is outstanding. Some bad parts of this school are food options and the amount of traffic in the hallways. Congestion has been a problem for a long time at this school, and there should be some improvements on that.

During my time at West Potomac, I felt that I have received an enlightening high school experience. There are so many extracurricular events, sports, and clubs to be a part of. The teachers show that they are involved in their students' learning and there are a wide variety of classes for all interests. I found that the West Potomac Academy has prepared me for my future career in healthcare, and I owe that all to West Potomac for sparking my interest in this field.

West Potomac is really three unofficial/informal schools wrapped into one. SOME kids can move between the schools, but most kids stay where they are. In the "bottom school" the kids don't care and the parents don't care. Unfortunately this cohort lowers the overall school scores and dissuades many p...

WPHS is a wonderful school and like all schools it has it problems but I feel with new principal and administration team at the school are working hard to make WP a welcoming, challenging and supportive place for ALL students!
