I've enjoyed my experience at Westlake. The teachers there are passionate about their jobs and genuinely care about their students. I hope the teachers' dedication to what they teach never changes. During my time, we had four or five students/faculty die, and we started during COVID, but there was always someone at school to support us as we struggled.

The campus and culture around the school is very well-orientated for developing the students into problem-solvers and becoming independent as adults. Every staff and all the students have deep connections and there are little to no conflicts. Dealing with cancer during senior year and the subsequent support required for my needs was easily obtained and the counselors were readily able to and willing to help. Food is provided for free and everyone can expect to receive lunch daily. Would like to see a little more support on career goals outside of pure core requirements and maybe more leniency and flexibility on learning topics.

Although my first year was remote, I have had a very positive experience with WHS. You can tell that every teacher has a passion for what they do, and truly care about their students and their future. Most students are very involved on campus in sports, clubs, the arts, STEM, and interest groups. Even though only some of our sports are "good", there is still huge turnouts from students.

The school is really good. I'm graduating this year, and I made friends with a lot of good kids. The schools has a lot of opportunity if you want to put in the work, and (most) of the teachers are amazing.
