GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Westmoreland High School is a good School. I'm in Band Color Guard for 5 years already. I'm leaving soon to college but I'm very upset because students here at this school don't have enough resources to get more money for our band. I see that school district help other sports here at Westmoreland but band. Other than that I feel secure at shool and I like how my counselor and other stuff are very helpful now that i'm a Senior they trying to help me with my career and scholorships.

Though it is is a small school, it allows for a lower student to teacher ratio, this gives students more confidence when answering questions and engaging in activities. The teachers are passionate about seeing us students succeed. The school is kept very clean and tidy. The discipline system is very good too, so there is never a lot of big disciplinary problems. Overall it is a great school that provides the ideal learning environment for any student.

I hate it there. As a kid with perfect grades I'm not recognized because I'm "different" and because the only people that are respected are the sports teams, special Ed kids and the Christians

Really this is just your average Podunk high school with ultraconservative values. Think and act straight and conservative and you'll be just fine. Targeting by many staff and officials of the high school based on socioeconomic status. Very afraid of the unknown or peculiar. Offered a fraction of th...

I graduated from WHS in 2010, I loved my high school experience. The principals were amazing, and all of the teachers were so dedicated to their job. Teachers there were also really involved with students, they care(d), they were also VERY passionate about the club/sports/groups they were in charge...
