Weston High School has been a unique experience. The student body consists mostly of upper-class white students. This has results in too much parent involvement and strong pressure to do well and get into a good college. This has portrayed that a 4-year degree at a good school is the only acceptable path.

The Weston school district has dropped from top 5 to a bare 15 in CT The Number 1 reason is diversity The school has less than 00.01 % of color Police department zero people of color Administration zero people of color Town officials zero people of color I raised 5 colored kids in that town and the racism that they saw was a reminder of the 60s, but they survived and did extremely well. I give them an A on Academics & Sports But aside from that it's " a good ole boys club of some rich elites" and 1 or 2 of color that are lost.

Good school environment, rigorous academics and supportive community. I believe that the school places an appropriate amount of pressure on students to become college-ready and encourages healthy competition.

This school is nice, but they focus too much on sports instead of other afterschool programs such as the theater department. The team that gets the best players always wins!I know teachers in very unprivileged schools : kids don’t have food for breakfast for example. How to teach kids whose basic needs have not been met?
