I am not only an alum but also a parent of two students currently in the high school. I can not urge you enough to seek your child's education elsewhere. The amount of favoritism that is happening in West Platte is disgusting. This is an issue that is not only happening with the teachers but the administration as well. Another issue is bullying. The zero tolerance rules only apply to certain kids and reporting it does nothing. I truly feel bad for the handful of teachers there that actually care about the kids and education as they have been let down so many times by the joke that is the administration and school board.

West Platte is rich with resources and opportunity. The largest problem that the school has are its policies and their enforcement. For example, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, students are not allowed to congregate in the halls nor anywhere else on school property. However, this rule is rarely enforced. Aside from this, the school is very good and attending has been one of the best experiences of my life.

The education is very good here. Due to it's smaller size, students get a lot of one on one with their teachers. The teachers know everyone personally and learn how they can cater to you as a student.

I am a 2001 graduate of West Platte High. I attended this school from 1st-12th grade and loved every minute of it! West Platte is a school with a great teacher - student ratio. The teachers are fantastic. Not only do they have superior teaching skills, they also genuinely care about their students....
