This is one of those schools where you walk in and everyone knows your name. It's a very close-knit school and all of the students here work together to make the rocky road of high school a little bit easier. You can walk down the hallway here and know that at least 2, or even 3 teachers will say hi or ask you how you are doing. The teachers here are very helpful and bring out the very best in their students. Every department in our school has its own uniqueness and is top notch in its field.

I loved being able to come to this school and being welcomed with open arms. All of the teachers and the students are nice and very respectful. I am a very busy student and my teachers understand that. If I have a super late night at a game or a meet then they tell me it is okay and to get it in to them as soon as possible. This school is super small and that is what I love about it so much. There is a lot of one on one time with your teachers. I don't have anything that I would want to change about this school.

I remember the first day at West Platte just like it was yesterday, I was very nervous but it was okay because it was a Friday and everyone was just so excited and I had so many people come up and welcome me to Weston. It was overwhelming but I was surprised how nice everyone was to me. Then a couple of weeks later baseball came and I got really close with the team, it was the best season I've had. We had a good run in the playoffs. My favorite game was the Miller game at home against Miller, the crowd was estatic. I think most of the town was there, it was great. I loved it. Everyone was so supportive.

In many way West Platte is truly idyllic. Small class sizes mean teachers know their students well. It also means students have the opportunity to participate in as many different activities as they wish. New technology upgrades have given a large bandwidth, 1:1 personal devices, high-tech classes/a...

Epitomizes the small town ethic of the entire community supporting the school system. Most families have 3 or more generations with personal experience in West Platte Schools. To see the entire town show up for Friday night football games in the fall or fill the performing arts center for the elemen...

I am a 2001 graduate of West Platte High. I attended this school from 1st-12th grade and loved every minute of it! West Platte is a school with a great teacher - student ratio. The teachers are fantastic. Not only do they have superior teaching skills, they also genuinely care about their students....
