Wheeling high school has been a decent experience, but a lot needs to change. To start, female athletics are not treated equally. Additionally, though the school prides itself on being "diverse", we aren't really diverse. The school is just majority Hispanic, and prioritizes Hispanic culture.

The environment was very welcoming toward all walks of life. Everyone found their people and minded their own business if they did not mesh with certain individuals. I did not witness any real bullying, unlike my peers at neighboring schools.

I had a good experience at Wheeling High School. My teachers were always there to help. I enjoyed the being on Poms Dance team for 2 years. I wish the school spirit was more.

This is one of the worst schools in district 214, the lowest. I honestly don't understand why parents, students, and teachers say this is better than Prospect or Hersey academically, Despite what they say about the programs they offer to students. Most of them don't really care about their classes o...

Because of liw education, because of some population, because they don't have dress codes, because of teachers with a body art on their body. ,,,,, because of piercing and all this horrible things. I think that the greatschools.org rating is very misleading and I'm so glad I disregarded it. Both of my children are currently students at Wheeling High School. As a parent, I feel very safe and secure sending my children there. Both children are in AP classes and several activities. My daughter is...
