It's a nice school for a small town. The building is falling apart and college readiness is not there. Though, the student life is fine.

My experience at Whitwell High School had its advantages and disadvantages. Some advantages were knowing everyone who went there and being able to do dual enrollment. Some disadvantages were not having enough teachers that helped get me college ready.

The true high school experience. At WHS we have had ecstatic pep rallies, rowdy Friday nights, and early Monday mornings. Like any school WHS has its flaws, but nonetheless it does not dull the experience. The staff truly make the days easier by making sure we (the students) are taken care of. In Whitwell there are hand fulls of families that suffer from poverty... WHS does not discriminate. They welcome everyone to get a free education and to help build their future.
