GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The school has amazing opportunities for a diverse education. It is still a high school in Texas so Football rules. It would be nice if they would support all of the student activities in the same way that they support Football. Otherwise I believe if you put in the effort you can receive a top tier education.

When I started high school I didn't know anyone and by the end of high I had friends and councilors who knew me personally and always helped when I needed it. There were also many teachers who were extremely helpful in my education journey.

I love the environment and community, but we definitely have things we could work on. We need better facilities, safety, and technology advancement.

My student graduated recently (22). I have been very pleased with Rider high...especially considering how poorly the school board and superintendent mismanaged the district. It is comforting to know that Rider maintained its high standards. [ 92 students of the more than 300 graduating class had a 4...

Guidance office is strong, so college wise, you are in good hand.If you get to find great teachers, you find studying more exciting. But if you play sports, go elsewhere. You will be happier.

My daughter has had issues with some of the staff treating her differently than the white students, she is Hispanic. This year at registration my wife witnessed four kids get help before my daughter ended up leaving, blatantly ignoring her as new white kids walked in. Also lady selling yearbooks tre...

My son attended Rider H.S. His experience has been outstanding. The advanced placement options have been the key. My son will start at A&M in the fall with all but 2 of his first year classes already complete due to the AP offerings at Rider. Other pluses have been that the school offers a safe envi...
