A few thing I've LIKED about North High School: * The teachers were/are actually teachers, willing (and) able to help with whatever questions I had * The school layout was confusing but easy. Once you're there for a week, you know all the halls, classrooms, restroom locations, etc... A few things I DON'T like about North Hogh school: * Barely any diversity. The school is mainly Hispanic dominant with few and less demographics following them * The school is old; it's almost 100 years old and it shows

Wichita North has been a somewhat nice experience, id say to get a good education here at North, you would have to take initiative and take honor or AP classes, because the environment in the the normal classes doesn't even feel like a class. One of my best experiences here at North is when I had an academic comeback and lots of stress because I had ended my semester with a 3.3 GPA after i struggled a lot with things going on at home and balancing the basketball season with school, I let go and got down to 6 F's but I had lots of support from one of my favorite teachers Mr. Kelderman which he helped me realize that i was not doing the right things and i got back on track. After this i was able to succeed the next semester and have a 3.8 GPA. That year of academic stress made me realize that it was actually a good time even though i was struggling.

My best parts of being a part of north would be the Oppurtunites that they give us. for example, job prep, tutoring, avid and many more, job prep gave me the experience of working a real-world job like adults. job prep gave me the resources I need like knowing how to build resumes or even what questions to ask when in an interview or how to dress they also address the things of what to and what not to do. Then in avid they teach of college readiness. they help prepare us so that we can decide what college is best fit for us they take us on college trips to visit college's and to learn about what they to offer to us .they also teach us how to take notes teaching us to write essential question and at least two questions that we have about our notes the also teach us to highlight and to write a summary over the notes to write down what we learned. My worst parts are just the overthinking that I go through, but my teachers are what keep me pushing the tutors help with homework. Love north

For me this school was once an amazing school my parents loved it and the hyped it up by saying all of the ways the spirit of the school shines but when I got here, I didn't feel it but that also could be my freshman year was online and I hated it and I could be why the scores have been so low or it...

North has many options for AP and honors classes. There are many opportunities in clubs, sports, music and other extracurricular activities. North has helped me grow as leader.

I have been at this school for less than a year and I am still ahead of most of the students here. I have grown up in a small town with less students and less drugs. I honestly do not like this school.

Let's get real with ourselves when rating this school. Thought school spirit may be high, and the biased endorsement of the principal is strong, North High underperforms both the Wichita average and the state average in a state that ranks 37th in the nation. If what you are looking for is a principa...
