Coastal is a good school, but is not without it's problems. The majority of students at Coastal are upper middle class, or very upper class. This means there is a lot of popularity based on money, name brand clothes, and extravagant vacations. Most of the students are not cruel but will ignore students who aren't wearing name brand clothes or who they deem as odd. I am one of the students who has been deemed as too odd and doesn't have enough money to fit in, so I have a lot less friends than average. In fact even the school policy's can make it hard for me because I don't have as many friends. I didn't go to my Junior prom because I was told that our guest plus one's had to be for someone we where dating and that I should just go with friends in my grade. I wasn't friends with anyone who was going so I skipped prom. This is not the schools fault but I would like to see them make a more inclusive environment for all students.

I liked the community at Coastal Christian High School. It was very small but you got to know everyone and people where very nice to me. The teachers would ask about my day and they showed that they cared for me. One thing that I would change would be the diversity at Coastal. The majority who go there are white , which is not bad, but it would be nice to see more color and more culture at coastal.

Coastal Christian is an amazing place that has created such a great atmosphere and culture among the halls. The teachers are amazing and the way they are preparing us as students is beyond the walls of our school. Our kids are so open and bought into what they are providing for us. I lead our student section for sports games and we probably have the loudest most energized crowd in Wilmington and that is because we all love where we are.
