GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Windham High School has a few very qualified and loved teachers. Besides them, the teachers are confused and uninterested. Some teachers and administration often push aside school culture issues because, for them, they are easier to not address. They allow bullying if the kids doing it are "good kids." The extracurriculars are well funded with good advisors.

I enjoy going to Windham High School. I have so many very trusted adults, some that I met freshman year, and some that I just met this school year. It makes me feel very safe going to school. I also like the various opportunities I have encountered going to school there, from volunteer work to CTE programs. Overall, Windham High School is a good program.

Good school in general, though, I had many difficulties with teachers. Most are great and truly care about their students, however, there are still many I have had issues with. I felt like I didn't get enough support from these teachers as needed, and often taught myself the majority of the class content. I found myself always completing "busy work" as well.

Windham High School strives to serve. They do suffer from staffing shortages, and because of high praise nationally, the classes have become overcrowded, which is unacceptable given they built the high school such a short time ago. The curriculum is rounded and promotes critical thinking. They promo...

I learned a lot. However, I believe my mental health underwent more harm than the benefits that I received. Horrible stress culture that nobody likes to talk about. Would not want to go back for even a minute.

There are great teachers who care about students! However, sometimes, certain adults have a negative attitude when addressing concerns.

I wanted to love this school. We came here and we're paying extremely high taxes to live here. I wish it was better, but the experience thus far has proven it to be less-than-what-we-had-hoped for our child. The homework load appears to be a "statement" about rigor rather than holding any actual val...
