GreatSchools Rating

GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The teachers I've had were really amazing. They really did push me and wanted me to do very well. The school does have some good resources for its students and tries to incorporate more CTE classes and dual credit classes. Overall was a good experience.

Very friendly and football-centered atmosphere. Involved teachers and useful academic resources. Several extracurriculars and electives available. Large cafetorium and inner courtyard.

I enjoyed attending Winnsboro High School. I had a good relationship with all of the teachers a faculty. I, also, knew that if there ever was a problem I could get all of the help I needed at Winnsboro High school.

I went to school here before (2016-2019) and it’s an awful place. Has good test scores but that’s about it. The school is backwards with dress-code, and they claim to care about students but did nothing when my friends and I got bullied by other students. I wouldn’t send your kids here, please find...

I'm shocked that anyone would say transfer students are not welcomed. Our children had the exact opposite experience. All THREE thrived at WISD. The high school was overwhelmingly wonderful. Between our two daughters, they were on homecoming court, sweetheart court, won numerous awards, and/or cheer...

Winnsboro High School is a great school despite the very outdated technology. Winnsboro is a town that proudly represents tradition, spirit, and competition inside and outside the classrooms. The teachers are very considerate and work hard to provide the best environment possible for the students. T...
