The teachers here go above and beyond to make kids feel welcomed and loved. They are the bedrock of the school even through some leadership changes over the years. The school feels safe and positive. Jefferson is a community that takes care of it's little ones like family. My kids have thrived there, felt safe, cared for, and learned to speak Spanish fluently, while also being challenged in other academic areas.

Very much a "teach to the test" school and obsessive about "standards-based education," even though there's talk about project-based and and hands-on.
