The school is mostly good. What I would like to see change is the school lunch. The best part of my experience is probably how some of the teachers are nice. The worst part of my experience was how much kids are always in the hallway as you try to get to class.

While my time at Gorton High School I do feel like it has improved but between a lot of teacher just not understanding students and being hard on students and the kids in the school just really not having a lot of respect or care of teachers its just not a school to really grow in. Theres a few teachers that really do favorite a few student which really do unmotivated kids now a day. As a senior I can really say that Gorton has been unprepared and it shows. A lot of things are either rushed or last minute. Trying to get help with college related things has been stressful and the staff that are supposed to help are always busy which makes it really difficult on kids. When joining programs in the school they really do leave you in the dark for example I joined PTECH and going into my senior year it really felt like I was being thrown to the wolfs since they didn't do a good job explaining us what it is we would exactly be doing.

The teachers, they were very supportive when it came to my education. Something I would like to see different is how the school is treated. Throughout my 4 years the school was dirty or seen as old and there were little to no improvements.
