Scenic views in a conveniently located neighborhood
With views of the sunrise over the Chugach Mountains and the sunset over the Sleeping Lady, South Addition is a scenic Anchorage neighborhood just a stone’s throw from downtown. Residents of this community enjoy its proximity to the city attractions plus its array of outdoor recreation. “It’s walking distance to downtown. The Tony Knowles Coastal Trail connects to South Addition, and we have a park strip that runs for several blocks that separate the more residential South Addition from the downtown area,” says Connie Yoshimura, owner and broker of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Alaska Realty, who has sold several homes in the neighborhood. “Many of our restaurants are downtown, along with the museum and the performing arts center.” Delaney Park borders the neighborhood to the north, providing plenty of recreational space and acting as a buffer between the bustling downtown. Popular destinations such as the Anchorage Museum and highly rated local restaurants are just a few blocks further, making it easy for South Addition residents to take advantage of all that the city offers.
