Beverly Hills has a reputation for luxury living
Beverly Hills is an iconic city in the Westside of Los Angeles, known for its luxury lifestyle and timeless appeal. Homebuyers are drawn to its prestigious housing market, where midcentury modern and Spanish-style homes sit on lush, spacious lots. The area is equally appealing for its abundance of well-maintained parks and gardens, top-rated schools and a lively calendar of community events. With world-class dining, designer shopping along Rodeo Drive and a central location, Beverly Hills offers a refined yet convenient place to call home.
Beverly Hills filled with around 30,000 residents and hosts millions of visitors.

How home styles and lot sizes vary across the area
The homes here are as unique as the city. You’ll find single-family homes with a range of designs, from sprawling midcentury moderns to grand Spanish Revivals. Many properties have amenities like in-ground pools and even tennis courts, and the lot sizes get bigger the closer you move toward the canyon. “They do movie star home tours and buses, or the TMZ van will drive up into the neighborhoods,” says Chief Executive Officer Julie Wagner of the Beverly Hills Conference & Visitors Bureau. The median sale price here is around $3.6 million, but there are also condos with panoramic views of the city and rental properties.

Parks to explore and nearby hiking trails
Beverly Hills has dozens of parks and gardens spread across the city. Beverly Gardens Park is a greenway stretching nearly 2 miles along Santa Monica Boulevard and has a shaded walking path, gardens, art installations and the famous Beverly Hills sign. Will Rogers Memorial Park was established in 1915, making it the city’s first public park. The 5-acre area is known for its walking paths that go past koi ponds and a fountain where you might see sunbathing turtles. Hiking is a popular pastime in Beverly Hills, and Franklin Canyon Park is where most people go to follow trails that wind through woods and connect to other recreation spots.

There's more to do in the city besides shopping and dining
The city may be full of famous people, but Wagner says you can still get a small-town feel here. “It’s hard to walk down the street without seeing someone you know,” Wagner says. “And one of the great things about the city is that people really get involved at a community level through our events.” There are events throughout the year, but some of the most popular are the:
Beverly Hills Art Show, a two-day outdoor art fair held each spring and fall in Beverly Gardens Park
Concerts on Canon, a free summer concert series in Beverly Canon Gardens
Rodeo Drive Holiday Lighting Celebration, an annual November event launching the holiday season with fireworks and live performances
Luxury experiences along Rodeo Drive and surrounding corridors
Beverly Hills has a dining scene shaped by global influences and fine-dining traditions. "We have a really great lunch scene here,” Wagner says. “We're not a big city, but we swell to almost 200,000 people during the day, so many spots cater to that crowd.” Many restaurants are close to Rodeo Drive, including:
Il Pastaio, a high-end spot that serves Italian dishes for lunch through dinner
Avra Beverly Hills, where you can order Greek cuisine made with carefully sourced ingredients
Urth Caffe, a European-style shop known for its organic heirloom coffees and farm-fresh menu
The Grill on the Alley, a well-known steakhouse designed to feel like old Hollywood
The city is synonymous with luxury retail, especially along the world-famous Rodeo Drive. “Rodeo is great for a very specific kind of store, but I like Beverly Drive because you see more approachable shops that you might see in a mall,” Wagner says.

Commuters can reach Hollywood and downtown LA
If you want to visit downtown Los Angeles, you might connect onto Interstate 10. Hollywood is closer, about 5 miles away when you use U.S. Route 66. “LA is known for traffic, and it’s no different here,” Wagner says. “We’re really centrally located, so a lot of people cut through the city to get somewhere else. The canyons that lead up to the San Fernando [Valley] are always congested at rush hour, and Sunset, Santa Monica and Wilshire Boulevards are always busy.” Multiple bus lines from the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority run through the area as well.
