Most homes were built around the early 20th century, with some renovated and some needing renovations. “There are a lot of investment opportunities here,” Sirochman says. “It’s a good time to pick up one of the fixer-uppers or short sales in the neighborhood.” Multifamily homes feature six to nine bedrooms, with prices ranging from about $300,000 to $525,000, depending on the condition of the home. Garages are rare, and residents frequently park along both sides of the narrow streets. The district is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and many homes feature elements of Federal and Gothic Revival design.Easy access to public transportation
