Access to Lincoln Park and Lake Michigan

Six miles from the Loop
West DePaul has dedicated bike lanes on North Southport Avenue and West Fullerton Avenue, but most roads are considered bike-friendly. There's also numerous bus stops throughout the neighborhood. Interstate 90, also known as the Kennedy Expressway, is about 1 mile away. Traffic should be expected along the highway as it connects to Chicago O'Hare International Airport about 13 miles west. The Loop — named after the elevated train tracks that circle the area — is the heart the city and roughly 6 miles from the neighborhood. The closest Chicago Transit Authority subway station is on Fullerton Avenue.
