A small Hayward community with big suburban conveniences
Located south of downtown Hayward in California’s East Bay is Jackson Triangle, a quiet suburban neighborhood that gets its namesake from the Jackson, Harder and Whitman streets that form the neighborhood’s boundaries into a triangle shape. Welcoming neighbors, lower starting housing prices and close proximity to highways and popular downtown destinations are what residents can expect in Jackson Triangle. “We have all of these things here that sometimes people don’t realize, but the area offers a lot,” says Maggie Ng, a local realtor of 13 years at Legacy Real Estate. “Southland Mall is right across the highway, there’s a lot of great restaurants next door in downtown with different cuisines like Korean and Italian, and we have a nice weekly Farmer’s Market.” With even more convenience, the neighborhood sits just west of Highway 238 and just north of the junction of the 880 and Highway 92; the former leads northwest to Oakland, while the latter becomes the San Mateo-Hayward Bridge to Silicon Valley. "Whether you’re a Bay Area commuter, a young family seeking a starter home or a student at nearby Cal State East Bay," says East Bay-area Realtor Katie Pratt, "Jackson Triangle offers an East Bay bargain."
