Hearthstone
Late-20th-century styles fill Hearthstone’s streets
Hearthstone is filled with more than 1,000 homes built between the 1970s and 2000s. Styles vary from simple ranch styles to experimental midcentury moderns to classic Colonial Revivals. Properties here typically range from $200,000 to $500,000. In the northern portion of the community, buyers might find a few post-2000 townhouses listed between $210,000 and $285,000. Greenery is abundant, with the most in-demand homes offering golf course views. Residential streets are lined with large yards and plenty of mature trees. Backyard patios with pools are also common. While sidewalks are not on every block, homes are hidden from main roads and the area is generally pedestrian-safe. Hearthstone has a CAP Index Crime Score of 3, just below the national average of 4 out of 10.Cypress-Fairbanks Schools earn “A” ratings

The community is centered around Hearthstone Country Club and its 27 holes of golf (three different nine-hole courses). While membership is not required to live in the neighborhood, many residents sign up to take advantage of the golf, as well as the tennis courts, pool and indoor fitness center. The club also hosts frequent holiday celebrations that are open to the entire community. “On Fourth of July and New Year’s, they shoot off fireworks on the driving range and everyone is welcome to come,” says Jaime McLaughlin, who has lived in Hearthstone for 18 years and is a Realtor with CB&A Realtors. “For Christmas, we do a holiday market, and they bring in fake snow and animals for the kids, and vendors set up. There really is a lot, and you can be as involved as you want.” The country club is also surrounded by a few public parks. Hearthstone Park on Huffmeister Road has a playground and dog-friendly walking trails, and Easton Commons Nature Park Butterfly Garden on Easton Commons Drive loops around flowering gardens and shaded pavilions.Dining options at the country club or near Copperwood Village
Hearthstone Country Club has a clubhouse restaurant, with a breakfast menu and all-day menus featuring salads, pasta and seafood. Sandwiches and appetizers are also served poolside at the outdoor bar. Beyond the club’s offerings, the surrounding area has several local fast-casual options. On Spencer Road, Athena’s Greek & European Kitchen specializes in gyros and customer favorites like flaky baklava and lamb shank.Copperwood Village on state Highway 6 is one of the largest nearby shopping centers, with bookstores, clothing shops and chain grocery stores like Target and Food Town. The shopping center is surrounded by multiple community churches, including Calvary Community Church on Cherry Park Drive, Copperfield Bible Church on Spencer Road and House of David Church on Langham Drive.
