A small community near the San Francisco Bay
While most people may think of the Ivy League school when they hear Dartmouth, residents of Albany, California, think of this small residential area on the San Francisco Bay. Dartmouth is a walkable neighborhood near downtown Albany with tight-knit community down the road from the waterfront. It’s the kind of place where kids grow up together and everyone knows each other.
“If the entire population of Albany went to, say, a Giants game, and we were the only people there, it would be a disastrous crowd. Not because we’re bad people. It would just be like, ‘Oh! Small crowd,’” says Seth Franklin, a Realtor with Red Oak Realty with over a decade of experience in the Albany area. “I like to say that people here tend to be nicer to each other because we’ll probably run into each other again. Like when I meet other parents at school, I think, ‘The odds of our children dating are high.’"
