Suburban neighborhood with nearby conveniences and mountain views
Set about 7 miles east of downtown Albuquerque, the suburban Fairgrounds neighborhood offers easy access to shopping, dining and the University of New Mexico with Sandia Mountain views. Home to over 16,000 people, “the neighborhood’s a mix of singles, families and older crowds, who like being near malls with quick access to major companies like Amazon and Facebook,” says Michael McCracken, an experienced Associate Broker with Keller Williams Riverside. “The movie and TV industries are getting big here now because of the tax incentives; Breaking Bad was filmed not too far from here.” Residents can walk or take short drives to family-owned restaurants, or hit up nearby parks; family-friendly events happen year-round.
