Rivercrest is a north Arlington enclave known for its large properties and walking distance from several parks near the Potomac River, like Glebe Road Park, Fort Ethan Allen Park and the educational exhibits at Gulf Branch Nature Center. Though there are virtually no commercial businesses in Rivercrest, residents are a short drive away from most of northern Virginia’s plentiful grocery chain options and Arlington’s unique dining destinations. Regarding its larger-than-average homes for the city, Karen Close, an Arlington local and Realtor with Century 21, says, “Around North Glebe Road there’s high end houses and if there’s anything medium priced in Arlington, it’s there as well. It’s extremely valuable, and everything indicates it’s a smart area to invest in.”
