Vast Rocky Mountain views and luxury custom builds are what give the Candelas community their motto: “Life Wide Open.” Bordering the Rocky Flats National Wildlife Refuge and nuzzled between the bustling hubs of Denver and Boulder, Candelas is far more rural than its neighbors. Residents rely on nearby thoroughfares for access to amenities, but the community itself provides its fair share of walkable parks, dining options and scenic spots.

Luxury homes with unique vantage points
The six villages of Candelas were named after their unique vantage points, allowing new buyers to incorporate their preferred surroundings into their home search. TownView, SkyView, ValleyView, CanyonView, MountainView and ParkView are nearly identical in the opportunities they present for custom builds or pre-loved luxury homes. Tuscan farmhouses, Colorado Mountain Rustic homes and classic foursquare homes often flaunt xeriscape lawns with stones and small shrubs. Solar-powered streetlights line Candelas’ interwoven avenues, those which sometimes feature townhomes, condominiums and duplexes. Many luxury homes are priced between $700,000 and over $1 million, though townhomes and duplexes hover between $450,000 and $600,000.

But Candelas’ Swim and Fitness Clubs have community pools, located in TownView and ParkView. The villages feature their own small parks, walkable to surrounding homes. Sandwiched between Denver and Boulder
About 21 miles from Denver and only 15 from Boulder, the Candelas community provides convenient access to several neighboring highways. Route 72, Coal Creek Canyon Road, leads directly south toward Denver, while Route 93 leads north into Boulder. Candelas Parkway is essentially the community’s main road, branching off Route 72 and weaving into various villages. Though Candelas itself is quite walkable, residents may rely on their cars for quick access to amenities as public transportation is quite limited. Denver International Airport is 40 miles east, but the SCL Medical Clinic is actually located within the neighborhood off Candelas Parkway.
