The Jefferson County School District R-1 enrolls Candelas’ students, beginning at either Three Creeks K-8 School, earning a B-plus on Niche, or Meiklejohn Elementary, which earns an A-minus. Candelas Parkway is essentially the community’s main road, branching off Route 72 and weaving into various villages. Though Candelas itself is quite walkable, residents may rely on their cars for quick access to amenities as public transportation is quite limited. Denver International Airport is 40 miles east, but the SCL Medical Clinic is actually located within the neighborhood off Candelas Parkway.
