Ashton offers convenience to the rest of Philadelphia

The township of Aston is a sprawling suburban community on the outskirts of Philadelphia. The township was named by the original constable, Edward Carter, after his home in Oxfordshire, England. The British army traversed the township's main thoroughfare, Concord Road, as they pursued George Washington's forces after the Battle of the Brandywine. Today, these traditional suburban tracts are located a short distance from community centers, retail centers and major freeways. Here you'll find a community of winding suburban streets under dense forests. Wide streets and sidewalks offer the perfect routes for cyclists and joggers to navigate the neighborhood. Schools and parks are within a 7-mile radius of most homes, and Philadelphia is just under an hour away.
