A suburb in Atlanta's trendy west side
Carey Park is located on Atlanta's west side, a trendy area that's seen tremendous growth since the debut of Westside Reservoir Park in 2021. The park is connected to the 22-mile Atlanta Beltline, and any neighborhood near this path is now appreciating in value and transforming. The growing interest in Carey Park, just 3 miles away, is visible in its new construction and vintage homes getting complete facelifts.
Mayra Senquiz, a Realtor with Your Home Sold Guaranteed Realty Crown Group, says that Carey Park maintains a suburban charm as vertical living springs up along the Beltline. "You get more of a quieter neighborhood with less traffic, but you're still in proximity to everything that Atlanta has to offer," she says. Carey Park's quietness comes from the fact that shopping, dining and entertainment are outside its bounds. But the neighborhood springs with corner churches and homegrown fun organized by its active neighborhood association.
Carey Park is nestled just west of Westside Park and only minutes from Downtown Atlanta.

Cottages at Carey Park makes homebuying more affordable
Carey Park's informal clusters of homes are separated by stretches of forested road. Tall trees fill the neighborhood streets, and some are flooded by overgrown brush. Lots range from modest to spacious, with homes on over a quarter of an acre. “The houses look like they do in New Orleans,” Senquiz says, speaking of the neighborhood’s original bungalows. Some are being renovated from the inside out.
For those seeking a relatively affordable new build, they can look toward Cottages at Carey Park, where homes offer a minimal traditional aesthetic, some in a shotgun style, and range from the $200,000s to the low $400,000s depending on square footage. The developers may also offer down payment assistance. Carey Park has a slice of luxury construction, including new townhouses in the high $600,000s to mid-$700,000 range and two-story, very modern homes beginning in the low $900,000s. The neighborhood’s vintage properties typically range from the high $100,000s to the mid-$300,000s, depending on their size and condition.
Modern cottages in Carey Park are on the rise as more are being built.
Newly built cottages feature long side-yard driveways.
