Gated community in Buckhead
Cross Creek is a 24-hour gated community that offers condos and multi-story townhouses. One-bedroom units can range from $150,000 to $250,000. Condos and townhouses with three or more bedrooms can rise up to $450,000. “There is a lot of activity in the Cross Creek market,” says Bob Glascock, a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Atlanta, who has been a top-producing agent for 20 years. "Larger and not ground-level units are moving slower, and we are seeing more renters take up those properties because of the homeowner association fees. However, two-bedroom, ground-level townhouses priced right are moving fairly quickly."Resident-only amenities and tons of golf nearby
One of the biggest perks of living in Cross Creek is its outdoor amenities. In the summer, residents can beat the heat at one of the three community pools. A clubhouse with a full-service restaurant, bar and training room surrounds the largest pool. “There is even a guest unit residents can borrow if they need extra space for visitors,” Carter says. Golfers can get discounted rates and memberships for the Cross Creek Golf Course, an 18-hole par 54 golf course open to the public. Golfers can also play a round at the Bobby Jones Golf Course, another public course that offers a practice facility and the Dan Yates Putting Course.Comprehensive IB program for public school students
Cross Creek is part of Atlanta Public Schools, which scores a B on Niche and serves more than 50,000 students annually. The district is divided into nine high school clusters so children follow their classmates from elementary through high school. Students attend the A-minus-rated Morris Brandon Elementary and advance to Sutton Middle, which ranks as a B-plus, before earning their diplomas from North Atlanta High School, which earns an A. This cluster is one of the few in the country that offers an International Baccalaureate program across kindergarten through 12th grade.Community clubs and events
“It is a very active community offering various clubs and seasonal events,” Carter says. Residents can join one of the many clubs such as Women Who Wine or the book club. The community has seasonal events like a Halloween Trunk or Treat, a pool opening party and a holiday party. Being on Buckhead's west side gives residents a 7-mile drive to MLB, NBA and NFL games and many live events at State Farm Arena or Mercedes-Benz Stadium.Proximity to the MARTA and Interstate 75
Cross Creek is just west of I-75, one of three cross-country interstates in Atlanta, and the highway can be used to access midtown or downtown Atlanta. The Metro Atlanta Rapid Transit (MARTA) has the Buckhead Station for those looking for public transportation. At the station, residents can hop on the MARTA Red Line on its light rail system or find one of the multiple MARTA bus lines throughout the area.Countless shopping and dining options within 5 miles
Cross Creek residents will need to find time to add to their schedule to try all the local eateries surrounding the area. Locals don’t have to travel far home to dine at the Cross Creek Grille in the golf course clubhouse, which doubles as a sports bar. Outside of the neighborhood, residents can try a po'boy from the Big Easy Grill, have some brisket from Das BBQ, or have a date night at the Woodall. Shopping is just as convenient as locals can pick up groceries from Publix at Howell Mill Village or drive into the city and enjoy the noted shopping scene at Lenox Mall or Phipps Plaza, about 5 miles away. The Battery Atlanta spans more than 2 million square feet and features restaurants, boutiques, bars and entertainment within walking distance of Truist Park. It's also home to the Coca-Cola Roxy, a 4,000-seat entertainment venue.
