A residential neighborhood right outside central Auburn
Just east of downtown Auburn, Washington, Wynaco offers tranquility outside the busier city scene. It’s also nestled in the Green River region, giving a slew of opportunities for outdoor recreation. Plus, the proximity to casual restaurants, a high-end shopping center and Interstate 5 keep everything comfortably within reach. "It’s the kind of area that is a little more sought after because you tend to be out of the city a bit but not super rural. You’re still connected and it's easy to commute,” says Joe Bauman, who grew up in Auburn and works as a managing broker for John L. Scott Real Estate.
Popular styles include single-story and Craftsman homes
Wynaco homes are a mix of ramblers and sizable Craftsman homes. Single-story ramblers with three or four bedrooms can range from $492,000 to 920,000. These properties have up to 2,000 square feet per property. Larger homes with three or four bedrooms can range between $900,000 and $1.7 million, with nearly double the square footage. Properties typically remain on the market for 41 days before selling. "It’s a very diverse set of properties in all price ranges. You can get more for your money while still being connected," says Bauman. Wynaco’s CAP Index Crime Score is also exceptionally low, scoring a 1 compared to the national average of 4.
