The Hampden Villas subdivision is made up primarily of single-family homes, many of which with New Traditional architecture and Craftsman elements. Homes are priced between the mid $400,000s and the lower $700,000s. Craftsman-influenced townhouses fill the Painted Ridge development and range from the mid $400,000s to the lower $500,000s. “It’s relatively newer, 2000s homes, with some people coming to look here because the Buckley Space Force Base is just north,” says Realtor Jason Morris, who grew up in Aurora and works for eXp Realty.

The Hampden Villas Homeowners Association is responsible for recycling and trash services. Painted Ridge’s HOA has similar offerings in addition to maintenance tasks related to upholding the grounds and structures in the development. The Hampden Villas subdivision is home to a community pool, and the Painted Ridge community has a playground. About a 5-minute drive away, Blue Grama Grass Park, located in the Conservatory neighborhood, has a tropical-themed playground. Paved paths wind through the park, which connect it to the grassy fields that comprise the Soccer Skills Area. Adjacent to the neighborhood, the Plains Conservation Center is a quiet natural space and the habitat for various species, including prairie dogs, coyotes and bald eagles. “We have three major reservoirs — Quincy, Aurora and Cherry Creek — all within 7 to 8 miles,” says Cindy Dassinger, a broker and owner of Metro Home Finders, Inc., who has over 25 years of experience. “[Cherry Creek is] more of a state park, so you would visit that on the weekend. There’s a little beach area. They have a dog park over there.”
