Haven for military and more
In Rocky Ridge, a neighborhood just 3 miles from Buckley Space Force Base, residents have all the amenities of living in Aurora, while being a short commute from Denver’s Central Business District, an hour by light rail, or the Aurora City Center and Buckley itself, just a few miles away. “The neighborhood has a good location,” says John Watkins, a 30-year real estate agent and broker who rents property in the neighborhood and is retiring soon. “Interstate 225 to the west is not far, and the new VA hospital off Colfax and I-225 is minutes away. Aurora grew because of Buckley and the military in the area. Working military families live here. In fact, I rent to a guy who is retired military.”
Rocky Ridge has a strong military connection.

Classic suburban ranches

Ranch-style, split-level, bi-level and even tri-level homes with attached one- and two-car garages sit on classic suburban, sidewalked streets, where children ride bikes in clear view of open garage doors or front picture windows. This continuity keeps pricing similar, too, from $350,000 to $600,000 for single-family homes. Smaller townhouses are available from $225,000 to $450,000, and one-bedroom condos start at $200,000.
