Tallgrass residents live close to two neighborhood parks. To the north of Lehigh Avenue and Netherland Street, The Park at Tallgrass offers a playground, a picnic shelter and a small walking trail. To the south near Oxford Avenue, Tallgrass Park offers similar amenities along with a basketball court and disc golf course. Reliable educations in the Cherry Creek School District

The Cherry Creek School District system serves public school students in the Tallgrass area. Dakota Valley Elementary offers a free preschool program for four days a week in addition to its traditional classroom settings. The school has a student-teacher ratio of 15:1 and a B-plus grade with Niche users. Sky Vista Middle School holds a B-plus rating with Niche users.
