Scofield Farms
Spacious housing options
Barnwell adds, “There are a lot of traditional-style homes that were built in the late 90s and early 2000s, and many have been updated since then. A lot of the homes have good-sized yards with mature trees” Single-family homes are clustered along sidewalk-lined streets throughout the community, but this is no cookie-cutter neighborhood, as homes come in various architectural styles. Many homes in the area have brick accents, giving them great curb appeal. Prospective residents can find a modest two-bedroom house for $300,000, but real estate prices in the neighborhood, for the most part, have ranged between $400,000 and the mid $600,000 range for homes with exterior and interior upgrades and backyard pools. On the northern end of the community are spacious condominium units that come with enclosed garages and often have covered balconies.Pflugerville ISD schools
Children won’t have to go far to get to class, as all schools in their academic pipeline for the Pflugerville Independent School District are right in the neighborhood. Students will start at Parmer Lane Elementary School, which has an overall B Niche grade and offers extracurricular activities, including music and dance programs and a Fall carnival filled with games, prizes and good food. After Parmer Lane, students will head next door to Westview Middle School, which has an overall C-plus grade on Niche, and John B. Connally High School afterward. Connally High has an A-minus grade on Niche for college prep, typically offering its senior students up to $7,000 in scholarships.Spend the day outdoors
Scofield Farms Neighborhood Park spans over 20 acres through the heart of the neighborhood. Residents can get their steps in for the day along the park trail, and there are several park benches parsed throughout the area for a quick snack or afternoon lunch. Residents are also just minutes away from the Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park, which has everything from hiking trails, a playground space for children, an off-leash dog area and much more.
Proximity to MoPac and I-35
Scofield Farms is conveniently located between Interstate 35 and the Mopac Expressway, which can both be used to reach downtown Austin, which is only 13 miles away. Residents can also find public transportation along Metric Boulevard and Parmer Lane. Convenient highway access means residents are just minutes from anything in North Austin, including St. David’s North Austin Medical Center. This 441-bed hospital offers various services, including an emergency department, women’s health services and surgical services, among others.Frontage Road shops
Many of the area’s shops and dining are along West Parmer Lane and Frontage Road. Residents can get their groceries from Hana World Market or H-E-B, and Walmart is nearby for any daily essentials. Though there are plenty of chain restaurants around, there are several local spots, including seafood at Garbo’s or fresh baked bread from Heaven’s Bistro. The Shops at Tech Ridge has big box retailers like PetSmart and Ross, among others, and several eateries.
