"They have fine dining and more casual options, so it's the best of both worlds," says Gilezan.
Getting around the greater Louisville area
Transportation in North Central Jefferson County is heavily car-dependent, and locals drive for shopping trips, errands and work commutes. That being said, however, "Most residents live within a mile from plenty of parks and shopping and dining," says Gilezan. Downtown Louisville is just 10 miles to the west via Interstate 71, while Interstate 265 connects residents with the rest of the greater area, including across the river in Indiana. The closest airport is Louisville International Airport, while, in the case of a medical emergency, residents can Norton Brownsboro Hospital right across Interstate 265 from the neighborhood.
