The original town of Beaumont, Texas, was built close to the Neches River. The neighborhood’s proximity to both downtown and the major thoroughfares of Phelan Boulevard and Gladys Avenue means that residents who commute to work or play can easily be on their way. Interstate 10 is less than a mile east of the neighborhood, so those traveling to faraway places like Houston or even the state of Louisiana have easy access to the highway. Several Beaumont ZIP bus stops along both Phelan Boulevard and Dowlen Road make it easier to get around the city without having to drive.
