Cape Cods, bungalows and Tudor-influenced homes built in the 60s and 70s
What hasn’t changed a lot is the residential scene. Housing options in Roselawn are wide and varied. Homebuyers will find a mixture of Cape Cods, bungalows, and Tudor-influenced homes constructed in the 60s and 70s. Single-family homes in Roselawn range from $115,000 to $330,000. The neighborhood also has tax incentives for those who build new construction or renovate their homes. “It’s an area where you get good value for your money,” Angela Quebman, a Realtor with Keller Williams Advisors Realty, says. “It’s an area of redevelopment, and you’re starting to see the progress.” The neighborhood also has a collection of condominiums and townhouses that have sold for between $70,000 and $150,000. Roselawn is a relatively walkable neighborhood with tree-covered sidewalks lining many neighborhood streets. As for crime, the CAP Index gave Roselawn a Crime Score of 6 out of 10, higher than the national average. Roselawn’s proximity to many industrial sites causes an increased exposure to environmental hazards.Learn America’s pastime at the P&G MLB Cincinnati Reds Youth Academy
While Roselawn doesn’t have much green space, nearby facilities like the P&G MLB Cincinnati Reds Youth Academy are open to residents. The facility offers free, year-round baseball and softball training for children four years and up. Another community pillar is the New Prospect Summit Center, which hosts summer camps and a gym. The neighborhood also has an art scene thanks to Ruth’s work. She led two community murals, one right outside the New Prospect Summit Center. Located just west of the neighborhood is the Caldwell Nature Preserve Nature Center, which has a series of hiking trails perfect for a long walk with a dog. When children need to burn off energy, parents take them to the Caldwell Playground and Playground near the nature preserve.

Less than 10 miles from Downtown Cincinnati
“Roselawn is centrally located,” Quebman says. “It’s a short distance to downtown and close to everything you could possibly want.” Roselawn is a 9-mile drive to Downtown Cincinnati, and residents can use the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority Bus system from one of the many stops along Reading Road. Medical attention can be found at Mercy Health – The Jewish Hospital is a 5-mile drive from the neighborhood. From Yakitori Hibachi Lounge to Amma’s Kitchen
Roselawn is seeing new development in business centers, shopping areas, and even new restaurants. According to Ruth, Yakitori Hibachi Lounge on Reading Road is inspiring new developers to the area. “It’s a nice, quiet restaurant and lounge. I think it will last for a long time in the community.” One place that has stood the test of time is Amma’s Kitchen, also on Reading Road. “It’s a vegetarian Indian restaurant. I think it’s survived because people come from all over Cincinnati to get their food,” Ruth says. For those looking for an afternoon of shopping, Kenwood Towne Centre is a 5-mile drive from the neighborhood and offers stores like Apple, Dillard’s and Macy’s. Residents head to Save A Lot for groceries and everyday essentials.
