The city covers just under five and a half miles and held a population of 10,919 in 2022. Industries employing the most people in the city are health care, manufacturing and retail. The largest employer in the city, says City Administrator Bryan Read, is Marmen Energy. “And then we’ve got two firetruck manufacturers, a hydraulic cylinder manufacturer and a ton of smaller manufacturers. Over the last thirty years, we’ve filled a couple hundred acres with industrial parks,” Read says.
