Bryant is working to make up for lost time in becoming a residential destination. The city’s population boom took off late in the 20th century following the construction of major thoroughfare Interstate 30, and ever since, it has gradually developed into one of Central Arkansas’ most sought-after landing points. Today, new subdivisions continue to pop up on both sides of the interstate, centering homes around shopping and dining hubs, including Alcoa Crossings. The community includes over 270 acres of park space spread across six locations, with the most prominent being Mills, Alcoa 40 and Bishop parks. Hurricane Lake neighbors the community, boasting lakefront estates and premier crappie and trophy bass fishing.

Hurricane Lake Estates and subdivisions
With Bryant’s recent growth, a variety of home styles has emerged. Flat lots feature brick ranch-style homes and Craftsman designs, with build years dating back to the 1980s and 1990s. With a few lots under new construction, some houses are as young as a year old. Homeowners customize the rectangular lots within their subdivision with fences, quaint porches and inground pools. Depending on square footage, prices typically run from $149,000 for a three-bedroom home to $802,000 for a four-bedroom home on the lakefront. Larger and newer homes within Hurricane Lake Estates sell for over $1.6 million. "Houses move fairly quickly in this market," says Executive Broker Tiffany Davis, who has been with Vylla Home in Bryant for over a year. "As long as homes are priced fairly, they will not be on the market for extended periods of time." The median single-family home price is $279,000, which is closer to what most residents pay since most homes are not located on the lake.

Year-round play at Bishop Park
For year-round entertainment, Bishop Park brings neighbors together at its 75,000-square-foot community center. Locals take advantage of the fitness center by attending weekly classes, swimming in the two pools within the aquatic center, taking the kids to the seasonal splash pad, and playing friends in games of basketball, volleyball, and pickleball. For a little bit of everything with a smaller crowd, Mills Park offers a swimming pool, three picnic pavilions, two hard tennis courts, concrete basketball courts, trails for hiking and biking, and a playground that resembles a miniature castle. For baseball players and fans, Ashley Park’s three fields beckon. When the weather permits, locals hop on the greens at Hurricane Golf and Country Club, playing through all 18 holes.
