The Outlets at Castle Rock are six miles north and feature over 100 brand-name stores. Downtown Castle Rock offers a charming selection unique establishments, with The Union Bistro serving up modern American cuisine and Courtyard Social featuring craft cocktails and fresh oysters. The Manna Restaurant is another local favorite, with a focus on farm-to-table fare. Great Divide Brewing is a popular spot for meeting up with friends after work. Groceries can be picked up at the nearby King Soopers or Safeway.Crystal Valley Ranch schools earn high marks
Crystal Valley Ranch is part of the Douglas County School District. Students can begin at South Ridge Elementary School, which earns a B-plus rating on Niche. Students can then progress to A-minus rated Mesa Middle School before finishing up at B-plus-rated Douglas County High School – the latter of which offers the International Baccalaureate program.Outdoor adventure surrounds the neighborhood
The Pinnacle community recreation center serves as a neighborhood hub with a fitness center, an outdoor pool and event spaces for community gatherings. Crystal Valley Ranch features miles of walking and biking trails that wind through the neighborhood's open spaces, connecting residents to parks with playgrounds and picnic areas. “You can get on a trail at your house and walk along it until you reach downtown or another nearby park,” says Geraty. “So even with that space you have, you can still walk to the best spots nearby.” Philip S. Miller Park is home to the Miller Activity Complex, while also offering zip lines for the adventurous.Easy access to Castle Rock, with direct access to Denver on the way
Situated near Interstate 25, Crystal Valley Ranch provides easy access to major employment hubs. Denver is approximately 30 miles to the north, while Colorado Springs lies about 40 miles to the south. Denver International Airport is 50 miles away. The Denver Tech Center is accessible within a 25-minute drive. Currently in development, the Crystal Valley Interchange looks to add direct access to Denver and vice versa by establishing a distinct exit on the highway. “It’s already highly popular, and it’s only going to become even more so once the interchange is finished,” says Geraty, who adds that it should be done by 2027. “It just keeps on growing.” AdventHealth Castle Rock, the closest hospital, is eight miles to the north. The area also gets more than six feet of snow each year.Castle Rock is home to a number of community events and celebrations
The annual Starlighting Ceremony, a tradition since 1936, marks the beginning of the holiday season with festivities in downtown Castle Rock. The Colorado Artfest showcases works from local and national artists, accompanied by live music and food vendors. Summer brings free concerts at the Amphitheater at Philip S. Miller Park.
