Centrally located Central Point
Taking after its name, Central Point is a quiet city located at the heart of the Rogue Valley, approximately 4 miles north of Medford. In 2020, the city had a population of just under 20,000 residents, according to U.S. Census Bureau. Central Point blends together 19th-century historic charm with modern infrastructure and amenities that help give the community its small-town, close-knit feel. “Central Point – along with White City – is kind of like a suburb of Medford,” says Taylor Lore, a local broker with Coldwell Banker Pro West Real Estate. “This area has seen lots of recent development of townhouses, which are great options for working professionals.” The city’s largest employers include Lithia Motors and the Jackson County School District, although some residents commute to nearby cities for work. The Siskiyou Mountains, a vast range full of hiking trails and outdoor recreation opportunities, border Central Point to the west.
