Getting around Charlotte
There are public bus stops throughout Ashbrook-Clawson Village, including on East Woodlawn Road, Park Road and Scaleybark Road. People commute 4 ½ miles north to Uptown Charlotte, where companies like Bank of America, Duke Energy and Honeywell are headquartered. Residents can walk to shopping and dining options because many of the streets have sidewalks and there is very little through traffic in the neighborhood. The city has a sprawling light rail system, but Ashbrook-Clawson Village is 2 ½ miles from the nearest rail stop, which is Woodlawn Station. Residents travel 9 miles northwest via Woodlawn Road and Billy Graham Parkway to reach Charlotte Douglas International Airport.
