Established suburbs of Chesapeake

Bisected by I-664 and bordered by the winding Elizabeth River, Western Branch is an established and continually developing suburb of Chesapeake. “There are so many types of neighborhoods in Western Branch, people can buy a brick ranch-style house from the 60s or a big riverfront house in a newer subdivision,” says Stacie Powell, a Realtor at Berkshire Hathaway RW Towne Realty with 32 years of experience in Western Branch. "There’s a range of styles and price points in an area central to many commuter hubs.” With retail and dining options lining highways to the north and south of the neighborhood and a beloved system of local schools and parks, Western Branch positions centers of community and commerce within minutes of each other. Residents can hop on the nearest highway and drive to urban hubs in Norfolk, Chesapeake or Newport News and return home to the quiet, tree-lined streets of Western Branch.
