Hirsch receives a C-minus from Niche and was first opened in 1926.Block parties, honoring seniors and shutting down the street for festivals

The 79th Street Renaissance Festival, typically held early in September, first began in 2006 and has grown to include live music, local venders and sometimes includes a petting zoo and carnival rides. “There will also be block clubs, where the residents of a specific block have summertime or back to school parties,” says Hollingsworth.
