Cincinnati neighborhood that comes together to care for the area
Roselawn is a small community in Cincinnati that is undergoing a lot of change. "It's a neighborhood of transitions,” says Annie Ruth, Roselawn's Community Council President and local artist. “I’ve been here for over 30 years. I raised my kids here, and in that time, I’ve seen changes.” People here care about the community and pitch in with revitalization efforts. The Roselawn Community Council, for example, heads activities like neighborhood clean-ups and landscaping projects that help to beautify the area. Homes here were constructed in the 1960s and 70s, and homebuyers who buy and renovate here can save on taxes through the city’s residential tax abatement program. The program reduces the taxable value of a property for a set period of time in order to incentivize people to buy and renovate homes in Roselawn.
The population in the city of Roselawn was 7,039 at the 2020 census.
