Clovis Place is a mostly residential neighborhood next to U.S. Route 60. There are a few blocks of commercial buildings on the neighborhood’s southern edge, and some restaurants along Route 60 are also part of the neighborhood. Antique cars and rodeo horses near Clovis Place
Draggin’ Main is Clovis’s annual car show. Every June, muscle cars and antique automobiles rev and rumble down Main Street, cheered on by car enthusiasts. Live music and events are held during the week as well. The Curry County Fairgrounds is about 2 miles from the neighborhood and is home to Clovis’s biggest rodeo, Pioneer Days. Every May rodeo fans come to the fairgrounds to watch barrel racing, team roping and bull riding.

Clovis High School has a B rating and is the No. 5 school in Curry County according to Niche. The school has a variety of after-school programs for students like the Reserve Officers' Training Corps, drill team and chess club.
